MISSING Armour

Yes, indeed  This you need  Even Paul said it We all should admit The only reason we fear Is our seemingly  lack Of cover from the rear A protective for our back. Put on the full armour Preached with much humour But hit me like tumour So let's not detour Ahead is an evil day And come what may You shall stand But first you must understand Gird your loins With few golden coins Of pure truth  It's one good fruit Add A breastplate  A righteous mate Step out with peace Begrudge not at ease After this gospel Take a shield of faith Then you will be able Just like every saint, Quench the fierce of the wicked Cover therefore your head A helmet of salvation instead Then pour out the word Which sharply cuts like a sword And since it's a spiritual mantle, Pray like it's a rap battle. The full armour of God excluded that which protects our back. Why? Because, God never wanted us to go back in life. He said, "be courageous and March forward".

FIRST THIRST

Judge thee not! Why value tiger nut Instead of thy first Love? Lamentations from above After which of these Must we thirst? As man may please, Chose he first, That which seems best. Church, work and love Chirp, lurk like a dove Speck up early for work Your job must you save From the economic shipwreck  If Noah didn't value relationship With whom would he be in his ship? Quote biblically if you may To his wife a man shall cleave one day Love your life Spend time with your wife The counseling syllabus May suite your marital status But, that not withstanding Must it so be? To my understanding A deviation I see A rail constructed for us not for free Demanded by our vanity hunt spree Which we might be charged a fee So costly that only God can hear our plea. Think about this: Which is your first priority Church, work and relationship Which would you sacrifice? We're guilty not to blame economic hardship. If we are HIS,  Then to shine, let's arise!!!

DUTIFUL or BUTIFUL

Many are they  Formed by clay Others by sand Molded with hand. Touch not, was the command Why not, we duly demand Forgetting our ultimate duty Is upholding alginate beauty. How sad! None ever had Successfully done that. It isn't easy but, This fine girl Has a story to tell. To avoid a lengthy reading vice, She poemed this advice. Dutiful or butiful The former is a delight The latter isn't right Twins are counted as ones Although born at once, Their destiny only comes by chance. Everyone is beautiful, Very few however, are dutiful. Digging for gold hidden  Where benignly forbidden Doesn't take courage  But desire for such voyage  Suitors of truth and falsehood Far and within the neighborhood Who in your despair strongly stood Behind you as pillar that never shook May be fished out by common hook Helpers may fade Lovers may jade Money may not be there to take Especially when duty is at stake But personality A twin of integrity Faith of persistence Dimpled smile of beauty And

not MAN enough

Should I say breasted Swollen headed Rifty shouldered Or broad chested With the feet apart, fingers attached Reminiscing simulations of expected fallacies We still cannot promise  That which may only be a wish That by hook or crook We live not to miss One may hide his fear  Because people like him are rare Or when salvation is near But when a determined face  Is hidden behind a disposable mask, Then this is my take, "Lives are at stake For job security sake" Albeit: Positive mood and posture Creates a gigantean stature That holds onto a diminishing dream  And licks it like honey ice cream Therefore I am no moron In this metaphorical oxymoron; Of a naked dressed officer Wasting kiwi on black leather. But as we stand at our faith's peak It will take less than a week To prove we were never weak Courtesy only kept us meek But time on our side, shall speak And men shall find what they seek.

CHOICE I didn't make

It is said  With no meaning absurd  The toad is the best  To tell the real feel of water And not by a finger test. We hear the quotation, Your life is in your own hand My infidel interpretation Is, can life be fetched like sand? Some are born of spirits Others by woman Many as offsprings Only one by a virgin I fell in the peasant's farmhouse To a woman who never wore blouse Had friends whose hair birthed lice And siblings who survived on lies Those on the other side  Thought a river was like poolside And had TV to view "by the fireside" To them, life began at twenty While mine was waiting till forty. Weeding, pruning and thinning out Consoling myself that time won't run out   Producing the golden tree That the lucky kid calls chocolate. Since age three I knew I was getting late But whose choice is it Being unworthy or dear To be born with silver wear Or be birthed a misfit Had we, those in my shoe We the unlucky ones Without any choice, not once Come across that magic

THE CAR AFFAIR

Love is no more fair As dating turns a funfair Life is not that simple  Especially in the days of Uber and  bolt Where taxis are still ample Speeding passengers like Usain Bolt Who says money can't buy love Go ask Christiana Love If she preferred Benz to Picanto That's how far Gloria can go Woe unto ye inhabitants of Africa For I have released the love for car Into ladies and gents  Living in mansions and tents It's not her fault If on you rains her assault She'll want to join the fraud cruises Until she finally bruises Blame not your boyfriend Who's at the receiving end With little time, little money Roaming always just to find honey After all, we both need to hold the wheel Step the pedal and feel the breeze We need it more than you Be a lil more patient till time is due. If you still walk in the 21st century With the "one day, one day it's gonna bee" lyrics Then expect not the queen slayers To wait till you have answered prayers

JUST IN CASE

Let's begin from where we left off We too mustn't be so soft For life has all we need But flour isn't food until you knead. Anytime you pass by Just in case we say hi Friendship isn't what we mean  So let not your response be mean You might have overstepped your shoelace And we can't consider it our back case. Everyone is a king in his palace So make allies  Even with enemy spies Until the last man dies, Be mindful how fast time flies. Hips they say don't lie That which men see and sigh Boys look and ask why Do sweet oranges rise so high? Beauty, I don't have a lot Yet I have enough Melons just to please the lot Anytime the going gets though But in case, just in case My dreams surpass your thought Join in my gentle race Don't stick to what at childhood was taught Make it not your back case For so were we in our days Thinking we wore the wrong size Envy not my back side For someone admires your dark face

SAVE our SOULS

In dilemma! Neither nude nor naked, Walking tiptoed on hot land Not a foreigner But no homeland From a large family Without any kinsman Born of a woman  Groomed by a fairy. Save our Souls! Cleanse our wearied soles Make an ear  Our plights we now air Strap our feet  Take us home where we may fit Blame us not If untamed tongues do err For today we untie the nut From this outcast snare. How long shall you feast? And grace us with aftermath You laugh each minute Sounding from west to east We only fake smiles  Thus once a month When fed with old yeast With grins so rare and minute Sealed dimples fair and acute Are we expected to hail Anything you call free Forgetting we trail Behind our own golden tree Save us now As we still live At least for our sake Give our mums a stake When sharing the national cake Don't give us pancake.

QUEEN OF SHEBA

It's no fault of her own That in beauty she has grown Maybe if she had known That seed wouldn't be shown Queen of Sheba Light of the eastern sun Unlike her daughter Delilah Fell in love with her own son Industrious with cedars Lumbering to her wasn't uncommon Familiar with timbers Harnessed all trees of Lebanon Thousands have fallen  When you had no army Just a decent clothing And few beads to charm A look of suspicion A touch of precision A voice of Perdition With love as a diction You mesmerized a dozen Solomon couldn't overlook  But to quote in the holy book His romance with you in the brook Muslims call you Abiba Not different from Akan's Araba But for your crafty woven net Christians hail you Janet.

THOMas JEFFERson

Many are the words of a man But only one actually matters most Many are the ways of happiness Yet no one actually gets them all Pursue happiness and you can't get it at all There is a newfoundland  But the ruler was tied by hand This Kingdom made of fools Who call themselves workers Used by machines as tools Called by the name brokers A journey of thousand miles Must not start with a hop Joy not backed by smiles Is like climbing stairs from the top Pursuit of happiness is waste So long as you change your taste Go ask President Jefferson Why he chose to teach that lesson Had he not in America everything? Why does he encourage nothing? Everyone around seems searching And no one is actually finding Pursue happiness and never feel satisfied Like busy bees, they move about in traffic While I stand alone so terrific Although almost all happy It seems they still need money Search for love and what you get isn't true Just be sure that life doesn't misconstrue Good messages are hard

BUTTER MY BREAD

Early each dawn  As water from my well was drawn This young kid would seldom frown With a rug twisted into a crown Coming with her bucket upside down Butter my bread  Persistent as though she begged Her words in a dream while in bed Adwoa told me of how sad She lived with her dad. Mum would have given me more she said As I helped place the bucket on her head. Butter and Bread One just to complement as one is fed Smear it as long as by taste you're led. Although sweet scented from the oven Maybe because it's not stored in heaven By about a quarter past eleven A loaf won't be as fresh as it was at seven So anytime our eels we imagine Let's not forget the sachet of margarine  That which changed the taste of a mere sanguine To now a refined powerful queen For a king cannot carry himself on a palanquin. Bread and butter Seldom if not often, Alone, no one actually matter Forget the yarns with which you are woven Leave them, their craft and ego alone  They'll have their ow
